12 x 12 Tim Holtz Canvases for Stampin Post

Deb from The Stampin Post gave me a challenge while I was visiting So. CA....she had just received these 12x12 burlap/paper canvases from the new Tim Holtz collection and no one could figure out what to do with them....this is what popped in my brain at the time...Deb had me take the two canvases and created...now the canvases are off to her store in Temecula....hope they like them...quite the challenge...Tim took the burlap canvas and cover them with some of his 12x12 papers, distressing the edges...sort of hard to see in the photo....the "Letters" one has two windows cut into it - one on the upper left and one on the lower right...

Matthew's 1st Birthday Party Oct. 27, 2011

the people that attended Matthew's birthday are me - Grandma, Jeremy - Daddy, Evee - Mommy, Daniella - Evee's sister, Maya - Daniella's daughter and Josephina - Evee's Mom....we had lots of fun including visiting the local pumpkin patch...yummy cupcakes from Sprinkles and a beautiful chocolate cake from unk bakery....

Poem I wrote

I'm cleaning my art room and came across this poem I wrote back on July 8, 2002....can you tell I don't through anything away....

I think that I shall never see,
A rubber stamp as great as thee.
Your size, your image, your mount, your rubber,
I'm sure you are the one - there is no other.
I can touch you, smell you, see your lines.
Oh what a wonderful stamp, you'll do just fine.
I must have you, it's only money.
Now how to explain this stamp to honey.
But I must have this one. It is great.
I better check out. It's getting late.
On the way out what do I see.
Another rubber stamp calling me.
Now I want two - what do I do.
Take back the first one and keep the other
Or buy both and get money from Mother.

Paper Birds

This is an 11x17 canvas painted with Pantone Acrylic Paints (which I just love) and textured with drywall mud and various papers and a tag...the birds were cut out of printed paper...Tim Holtz Distressed inks were use to age the piece...the hidden words, Imagine, Art and Create are sticker letters applied before painting the canvas...Enjoy!...

Birds of a Feather

Had an inspiration to do a bird painting...must be Diane's influence...I still have to frame this one however I thought I would share it for now...everything is paint except the lines the birds are on is black braided fishing line - Drew's idea and I liked it...this is on a 12 x 12 canvas...

Third Coast Stamp submissions

Finally ART!

On Spring Break...spending time in Murrieta, CA and have a ball....time to do some ART!...here is a piece I just created for a birthday present for Diane Keys...the person I am spending spring break with....I was inspired by a piece in one of the Stampington publications....Diane gave me a wonderful traveling watercolor set by Sakura...the bird is watercolor and the rest of the piece is acrylic paints and misc other things....the bird is inspired from Susan Winget...a favorite artist of my friends...size is 9 x 12...

Also, had my eye surgery today so in a few more weeks I will be about to create art!!! and have more to share in the art line...Yeah!!

Finally an updated photo of the grandbaby....3 1/2 months old...it is a cell phone picture...not great but better than nothing....I need to take a trip out to California to take some good shots...and for other reasons....like to hold him...and play with him...and get him a crib so he can have David time...and give him lots of kisses....
